DESCRIPTION:
A signature Shangri-la resort located at the beautiful Pantai Dalit near Tuaran. The resort boast a golf course, 2 swimming pools, and ample open space. This nice resort is located some 30 minutes drive north of Kota Kinabalu city.

FACILITIES:
There are 330 rooms offered at this resort of various types, namely Superior Rainforest, Deluxe Garden View, Deluxe Sea View, Executive Suite and Premier Suite. Just as you would expect from any Shangri-la hotel chain (yes, they are my personal favourite), the rooms are beautifully appointed. The balcony views of either the azure-blue Dalit Bay or the lush tropical forest are equally mesmerizing.

For excellent gastronomic experience, there are 3 main F&B outlets for you to choose from: The COAST - Restaurant & Bar of exceptional dining room design and exquisite beachfront setting, Naan - Flavours of India as well as Coffee Terrace offering regular Malaysian and Western fares. For lighter meals and cocktails with friends, you can opt for Golfers' Terrace, Sampan Bar, Pool Bar - Tepi Laut, and Lobby Lounge.

ATTRACTIONS:
The beach is beautiful. A sparse beach which provides you with the much needed seclusion. The beach is cleaned every day by the resort personnel. The sand is powdery soft. For a change, you can also make a trip to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park for nice beaches and excellent marine life.

Interestingly, the resort is close to a nature reserve at which an Orang Utan Conservation Programme is located. The resort also hosts an 18-hole golf course.

PRICING:
Expect to pay Shangri-la price here. A Superior Rainforest room starts at RM525 per night which includes buffet breakfast and dinner, free laundry service or rental of non-motorised water-sports equipment, unlimited broadband internet and extended check-out time. Similarly, Garden View room starts at RM670 per night, Deluxe Sea View room (RM760 per night), Executive Suite (RM1,100 per night) and Premier Suite (RM1,500 per night)
